Farming, ranching recognized at Karnes chamber event

All farmers and ranchers in Karnes County, the Karnes City Rotary Club, the Karnes City Home and Garden Club and Tracy Witte, manager of Looney's Supermarket in Karnes City were all honored with awards Saturday night at the annual banquet of the Karnes City Chamber of Commerce. From left, Marvin Witte is one of the many farmers and ranchers honored, Julie Weiss is president of the garden club, Larry Franke is president of the Rotary Club and Tracy Witte was named citizen of the year.
